Restaurant Saana
Restaurant Saana is a relaxed and warm-hearted mountain restaurant located right at the foot of Saana Fell. You are welcome just as you are — in ski clothing, with a hiking backpack, or straight after reaching the summit of Saana.
Restaurant Saana also includes a café, which is open in accordance with Kilpisjärven Retkeilykeskus' general opening hours. À la carte dishes are available during the kitchen’s opening hours.
The atmosphere at Restaurant Saana is easy-going and cosy: the glow of the fireplace, a warm ambience and friendly, attentive service make you feel right at home. It’s a place that’s easy to come to — and easy to stay.
Our kitchen serves honest, hearty food that’s perfect after a day outdoors. The menu features burgers, pizzas, salads and classic Lapland dishes such as sautéed reindeer. The menu is renewed annually, and menu dishes are available during kitchen opening hours.
No table reservation is needed — simply come by when it suits you. Restaurant Saana is ideal for a quick stop as well as a relaxed dinner, whether you’re dining alone, as a couple or with a larger group. We also serve breakfast, and during the summer–autumn season we offer lunch. More detailed information can be found via the link. Restaurant Saana also operates as a café during general opening hours, serving coffee, tea, specialty coffees, sandwiches and pastries.
Restaurant Saana is part of Kilpisjärven Retkeilykeskus and for many a natural stopping point after a Saana summit hike, a day of hiking or a ski tour. During the same visit, you can also browse our neighbouring gift shop for Kilpisjärvi- and Saana-themed souvenirs to take home.
